Luxembourg Airport: Private Jets and BAC Reception

Luxembourg-Findel, report to the Business Aviation Center

For a private jet to or from Luxembourg-Findel, LUX / ELLX, the reception point is the Business Aviation Center, or BAC. The airport places it approximately 7 km from central Luxembourg and 1 km from the main terminal. Published hours are 06:00 to 22:00 local time, with extensions on request. Send us your Luxembourg flight enquiry to plan the aircraft and its reception arrangements.

IBC Aviation has a Luxembourg office to support your travel. As an independent broker, we source and compare operator proposals against the requirements of your programme.

A separate terminal, with its own meeting address

The BAC and the main terminal are different access points. For a departure drop-off, your driver needs the address of the agreed business aviation reception. The airport name alone is insufficient to identify the meeting point.

The distinction also applies to an airline connection. Arriving in the commercial terminal does not mean you have reached the BAC. We include the movement between the two locations and baggage collection in the proposed itinerary.

Customs, border and security checks in one reception facility

The terminal brings together customs, border and security checks; the business aviation trip can therefore be prepared around an identified reception point. The formalities themselves still depend on the origin, destination and travel documents of the passengers.

For a flight arriving from outside the Schengen area, provide the requested information ahead of travel. Having services in the building does not remove their requirements. We coordinate the needs with the operator and handler so that the instructions are clear.

Passengers and crew have separate lounges, and apron transport is among the published services. For a group or a specific access requirement, we confirm the arrangements appropriate to the party and the proposed aircraft.

BAC opening hours and permission to fly are separate

The terminal's hours describe ground reception. An extension can be requested where your itinerary requires it, but must be confirmed. The operator separately reviews the operational conditions applying to the aircraft movement.

This distinction matters after a late business meeting. Tell us when you expect to finish and which parts of the schedule are flexible. We can assess the departure against its actual requirements rather than treat an available telephone service as permission to take off.

Your programme for quotation combines the preferred timetable and the selected services. An early departure, a same-day wait and a stay lasting several nights may call for different arrangements.

A new BAC project, with current reception confirmed for your flight

The lux-Airport 2026 master plan presents a new Business Aviation Center as a project. Architectural views should be distinguished from the facilities actually serving your flight.

Your meeting point remains the one confirmed in the travel instructions. News about a future building is not a new departure address. We have the access point and required services confirmed when organising the flight.

For a business party, this also avoids confusion between an airline lounge, business aviation reception and a future facility. The programme should name the actual place where the travellers are expected, rather than use a broad reference to airport VIP services.

From a light jet to a larger cabin, select by mission

A Phenom 300 may be considered for a European flight. For a longer trip or different cabin needs, a Falcon 8X represents another category to assess with the operator. These examples do not establish aircraft availability on your dates.

Passenger numbers, luggage and the feasibility of a nonstop flight all enter the comparison. We also examine the return: waiting locally, leaving and coming back, or combining several stops changes both the mission and its cost.

How should you budget for a Luxembourg private flight?

As an initial guide, light jets start at approximately EUR 4,000 per flight hour. Our private jet charter rates explain the different categories. This hourly indication is not the total price of a trip to or from Findel.

The quote brings together the aircraft and its positioning, airport and handling charges, and the services requested. Any reception extension and the return arrangements are assessed against the actual programme. Specify your itinerary and appointment constraints for a proposal that covers the complete trip.

Frequently asked questions

Should I go to the main terminal for a Luxembourg private jet?

Reception is at the Business Aviation Center confirmed for the flight. It is approximately 1 km from the main terminal. The driver should follow the exact joining instructions, especially where an airline connection is involved.

How much does a private jet to or from Luxembourg-Findel cost?

Light jets start at an indicative EUR 4,000 per flight hour. The total also reflects positioning, airport and handling charges, and the return programme. A quotation identifies the complete cost for your itinerary.

Can BAC reception be requested after 22:00?

The BAC publishes daily hours of 06:00 to 22:00 local, with extensions on request. Any extension must be confirmed. This is separate from checking the conditions permitting the aircraft movement.

Is the new Business Aviation Center already the departure point?

The new BAC is presented as a project in the 2026 master plan. For your flight, use only the reception address confirmed in the travel instructions rather than an architectural image or announcement about the future building.
