Private Jet Charter in Luxembourg
IBC Aviation's Luxembourg office sits at 41A Avenue du Bois, fifteen minutes from Findel. The team arranges private jet charter to or from Luxembourg around the clock, with an account manager who knows the runway, its operating hours and its cargo peaks.
A tailor-made offer
A Luxembourg booking starts with a fact few travellers know: Findel has a single runway, and freight comes first on it. Your account manager checks the slot, the parking and the return time before confirming an aircraft, then follows the flight through to arrival.
From the Kirchberg or the city centre, the airport is a quarter of an hour away. We arrange the car, the reception at the business aviation terminal and, if your day runs late, the alternate airport.
IBC Aviation is an independent broker. We compare the aircraft available from certified operators and recommend the one that fits the sector, the passenger count and the luggage, not the most expensive one.
How much does a private jet cost from Luxembourg?
Pricing is per flight hour and depends on the aircraft category: from €3,500 per hour on a very light jet, €4,000 on a light jet, €4,800 on a midsize and €6,500 on a heavy jet. On the busiest sector, a Paris to Luxembourg flight on a Citation Jet 2 starts at €7,000 for six seats and fifty minutes in the air, the example published on our pricing page. Other sectors follow the examples published on our pricing page:
| Sector | Flight time | Aircraft | From |
| Luxembourg to or from Paris | 0h50 | Citation Jet 2, 6 seats | €7,000 |
| Luxembourg to or from Geneva | 1h00 | Citation Mustang, 4 seats | €6,500 |
| Luxembourg to or from London | 1h15 | Citation Mustang, 4 seats | €7,500 |
| Luxembourg to or from Milan | 1h15 | Citation Mustang, 4 seats | €7,500 |
| Luxembourg to or from Nice | 1h30 | Citation Mustang, 4 seats | €9,000 |
| Luxembourg to or from Zurich | 0h50 | Citation Mustang, 4 seats | €5,500 |
These figures cover the aircraft, crew, fuel, ground handling and navigation fees, before taxes. Winter de-icing, specific catering or a departure outside operating hours are added to the quote. Flight times are indicative and vary with the aircraft, the load and the winds.
Luxembourg-Findel airport (LUX / ELLX)
Findel lies about six kilometres east of the city, on the territory of Niederanven, at an elevation of 1,234 ft. Its single runway 06/24 is 4,002 metres long, enough for every business aircraft category, from turboprop to ultra long range, with no take-off weight restriction.
- A runway shared with freight. Findel is Europe's fifth-largest cargo airport, with 830,468 tonnes handled in 2024, and the home base of Cargolux and Luxair. With no parallel runway, a closure stops all traffic with no fallback on site: we plan an alternate airport on every booking.
- Operating hours worth knowing. The operator lists the airport as open from 04:00 to midnight and designates 23:00 to 06:00 as the night curfew, with no scheduled movement after 23:00. Business aviation is not scheduled traffic, so its status in that window is confirmed case by case with the ground handler, and we check it before proposing a departure time. The periods around 06:00 and 23:00 are also the busiest for freighters.
- A dedicated business aviation terminal, separate from the passenger and cargo buildings, with direct access to the aircraft and formalities handled apart.
- Alternates close at hand, the advantage of a country at the meeting point of three borders: Metz-Nancy-Lorraine and Saarbrücken are about an hour by road, Liège and Brussels widen the choice to the north-west.
Luxembourg belongs to the Schengen area: no passport control on a flight arriving from Paris, Geneva or Milan. For London, the UK electronic travel authorisation is obtained online before departure by those nationalities that need it.
Which aircraft for which sector
Sectors under an hour and a half from Luxembourg, whether Paris, Zurich, Geneva, London or Milan, work on a very light jet for four passengers, or on a light jet such as the Phenom 300 as soon as the luggage or the headcount grows. Nice, at close to an hour and a half, or a same-day return with a meeting at each end, often justify a midsize for cabin comfort.
Findel's 4,002 metres remove every constraint for heavy jets and ultra long range aircraft: a non-stop flight to the Gulf, to the US East Coast or from Singapore can be scheduled straight into Luxembourg without routing through Paris or Frankfurt. On those sectors the constraint is not the runway but the parking and the return slot, which we check first.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a private jet from Luxembourg to Paris cost?
A Paris to Luxembourg flight on a Citation Jet 2, six seats and fifty minutes in the air, starts at €7,000, the rate published on our pricing page. Hourly rates run from €3,500 on a very light jet to €4,000 on a light jet, aircraft, crew, fuel and ground handling included.
Which airport should I use for a private jet in Luxembourg?
Luxembourg-Findel (LUX / ELLX), six kilometres east of the city, with a business aviation terminal separate from the passenger and cargo buildings. Metz-Nancy-Lorraine and Saarbrücken, about an hour by road, serve as alternates.
Can I depart from Luxembourg late in the evening?
The airport is open from 04:00 to midnight and designates 23:00 to 06:00 as the night curfew. Business aviation is not scheduled traffic, so a movement in that window is confirmed case by case with the ground handler before the time is fixed.
Can every private jet land at Findel?
Yes. The single runway 06/24 is 4,002 metres long and takes every category, from turboprop to ultra long range. Because it is shared with freight and has no parallel runway, a closure means diverting to a nearby airport.
How long is a flight from Luxembourg to Geneva, London or Nice?
About 1h00 to Geneva, 1h10 to London and 1h25 to Nice, depending on the aircraft, the load and the winds. Paris and Zurich are around fifty minutes away.
