Málaga-Costa del Sol (AGP / LEMG) is 8 km southwest of Málaga according to the AIP. Airport and customs services are published H24 and a general aviation terminal is provided. Private flights still depend on available capacity, an airport slot and mandatory handling.

Slot approval precedes flight-plan filing

The AIP makes general and business aviation admission dependent on airport capacity; the slot must be authorised before the flight plan is filed. An aircraft available on the correct date therefore does not, by itself, confirm an arrival at your preferred time.

We have a programme requested that fits your commitment at the destination. If a meeting or reservation fixes the time you must be present, provide that time rather than only selecting a departure hour. The operator can assess the available margin and the handler can prepare the corresponding stopover.

Short-notice requests are examined against actual availability. We do not apply to private charters the AIP’s 72-hour notice intended for certain foreign military state aircraft. Your flight is assessed under the conditions that apply to its actual operation.

Mandatory handling and a confirmed meeting point

General and business aviation aircraft at Málaga must engage a ground handler; the AIP lists a general aviation terminal with authorised FBO managers. The meeting instructions are confirmed with the party selected for the stopover.

The driver should receive the location for that reception process rather than follow the airline passenger route. When a group arrives in several vehicles, we identify the passengers and arrangements involved. The flight documents state when the group should present for departure.

Runway 13/31 is physically 3,198 m long and 12/30 is 2,749 m long. These lengths do not mean that passengers choose the runway or that every aircraft can depart with the same payload. The operator examines the applicable distances and performance for the expected conditions.

A Citation XLS may be considered for a European sector depending on routing and luggage. A larger cabin such as the Challenger 350 is compared against different requirements. Selection reflects the whole mission, including the fuel needed for the next sector.

Marbella transfer time cannot be inferred from 8 km

For several collection points along the coast, give the addresses in their intended order. We use that programme to prepare the airport meeting and the return rather than apply the Málaga city reference to every passenger.

The published 8 km reference concerns Málaga. It does not describe the road sector to Marbella, a villa or a marina along the coast. The route depends on the address and traffic. We prepare it separately without promising one universal airport transfer time.
