Monterey Airport: Private Jets and Aircraft Parking

Monterey, prepare the aircraft stand for the whole visit

A private jet to or from Monterey Regional (MRY / KMRY) needs attention to the FAA’s parking PPR for visiting large aircraft and multi-engine turbine aircraft. Flight acceptance does not automatically reserve a stand during the stay. Our Geneva office coordinates the proposal with the carrier and local reception team. Request a Monterey arrival quotation with your intended return date.

An airport for the Monterey Peninsula

The January 2026 airport document places the airfield approximately 3.5 miles east of downtown Monterey.

That geographic reference can inform an arrival choice for a peninsula stay. It is not a measured transfer time to your hotel or appointment.

Scheduled and private flights do not necessarily use the same reception.

The airport receives both and identifies two full-service FBOs. We have the selected base and access confirmed with aircraft services. Driver and passengers receive the same meeting point rather than an assumed airline terminal address. If other members of the party use a scheduled arrival, their reception should be identified separately in transfer instructions.

PPR concerns the visiting aircraft’s stand

Prior permission prepares parking for the categories addressed by the FAA publication. It needs to match the aircraft and stay dates. A position for several nights differs from a short visit departing soon after passenger drop-off.

We have these conditions specified with the handler before final proposal comparison. If the aircraft leaves between sectors, repositioning charges and return arrangements are stated in the offer. The passenger programme should remain consistent with the availability actually confirmed for the return. A revised final appointment may therefore require the aircraft arrangements to be reviewed as well.

Prepare flights around your peninsula programme

Our team gathers origin and final address, followed by appointments and baggage volume.

As an independent broker, we consult carriers for all requested sectors. The reviewed FAA Chart Supplement states that CBP processing facilities are unavailable at Monterey. For an arrival from abroad, we have the entry arrangements confirmed with the carrier and the authorities before retaining the routing, including another airport of entry where necessary.

Possible flexibility in the last appointment should be disclosed during the enquiry. Have your Monterey visit coordinated with aircraft return and ground transfer considered. Waiting and schedule-change conditions are compared before cabin selection. The offer should show whether the aircraft remains or repositions during the visit.

7,175 ft physical length and 7,000 ft available to land

Main runway 10R/28L is physically 7,175 ft long. The FAA gives a 7,000 ft LDA in both directions. This declared distance accompanies performance assessment and should not be replaced by physical length alone.

The carrier examines payload and expected conditions for each sector. An intercontinental return may need a different fuel assessment from the arrival. The proposal specifies a nonstop flight or technical stop so offers concern comparable routing. Aircraft range from a general description does not establish every departure configuration.

The second parallel is a different runway

The smaller parallel measures 3,503 ft in current FAA data. The runways are not equivalent options for every aircraft category.

Runway count and a tower alone do not establish mission suitability. We request a carrier response for the aircraft, loading and route envisaged. Reception is prepared on the same basis rather than turn an existing facility into a confirmed reservation. Passenger reporting follows those actual arrangements.

Compare price against the aircraft’s stay

Our charter cost references place super midsize aircraft from approximately EUR 5,500 per hour and ultra long range aircraft around EUR 9,000 to 12,000 per hour.

These indicative euro benchmarks are not contractual US tariffs. The total includes positioning and airport charges, with local waiting or aircraft movements between sectors specified.

A lower hourly cabin price may therefore involve different return arrangements. Comparison concerns the quoted programme and stated conditions rather than an isolated multiplication of flying time.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet at Monterey cost?

Super midsize aircraft start around EUR 5,500 per hour and ultra long range aircraft around EUR 9,000 to 12,000 per hour. The total also includes positioning and stay arrangements. These references are not firm local tariffs and do not replace parking confirmation.

What flying time and transfer duration should I allow for Monterey?

Flying time is assessed from your origin with the aircraft and expected conditions. The January 2026 document places the airport approximately 3.5 miles east of downtown without a measured road duration. We prepare the transfer from the confirmed FBO to your final address.

Does an accepted flight automatically include parking during the stay?

The FAA requires PPR for transient parking by large aircraft and multi-engine turbine aircraft. Stand and dates need confirmation; we also compare any repositioning with its charges and return arrangements.

Why publish 7,000 ft LDA rather than 7,175 ft?

The 7,175 ft figure is physical main-runway length. The FAA gives 7,000 ft landing distance available in both directions. The carrier uses applicable distances alongside payload and expected conditions to assess the flight.

Should I use the airline terminal for the jet?

The airport identifies two full-service FBOs for general aviation reception. The selected place is confirmed with the flight; we send access and reporting time to passengers and driver rather than assume commercial terminal use.
