Montreal Saint-Hubert Airport: Private Jets at MET

At MET, your private flight is arranged with its FBO

A private jet to or from Montreal Saint-Hubert (CYHU) uses MET, Montreal Metropolitan Airport, at Saint-Hubert/Longueuil. The operator places it 15 km from downtown Montreal and distinguishes business aviation FBOs from the new commercial terminal opened on 15 June 2026. Our Geneva office confirms the reception point, formalities and programme with the carrier. Request a proposal for your Saint-Hubert arrival, including your final address in the Montreal area.

Different reception facilities have different addresses

An FBO is the base providing reception and services for business aircraft. MET’s directory includes HUB FBO and Lux FBO, with different access points. Your driver needs the location confirmed for your flight instead of a general airport address.

HUB FBO is listed at 6505 rue Eugène-Héroux, and Lux FBO at 4755 chemin de la Savane.

These identify facilities; they do not select the flight’s handler on the operator’s behalf. We match the accepted reception point to the requested services before preparing passenger instructions.

Understanding the June 2026 terminal opening

The official website states that the new terminal has been open since 15 June 2026.

The launch announcement describes 21,000 m², nine boarding bridges and a 900-seat waiting lounge. These specifications concern the commercial terminal, rather than a private lounge reserved for your party.

We therefore avoid directing you to that building simply because a search shows “Montreal Saint-Hubert terminal”. A charter uses the reception arranged for its operation. Where passengers arrive on a scheduled service and continue privately, the two meeting points and any transfer need separate planning.

Arranging the flight with IBC Aviation

Our Geneva office considers your complete programme: arrival, visit duration and subsequent destinations.

IBC Aviation acts as an independent broker, consulting carriers for your requirements. The chosen air operator retains responsibility for the flight, aircraft and technical decisions.

For a meeting on the South Shore or downtown, include its address and the time you must be there. We establish reception and transfer arrangements from the FBO actually confirmed. Send the visit you need coordinated at MET so we can assess the enquiry against the airport and carrier conditions.

Slot flexibility must apply to your actual movement

MET’s business aviation page advertises no slots for applicable movements. This does not mean an aircraft can arrive without other preparations. Flight category, entry formalities and services must be established with the relevant parties.

Our teams confirm whether that flexibility applies to the proposed programme. An international arrival, domestic departure and extended aircraft stay do not necessarily raise identical requirements. We do not describe MET as having permanent customs or unrestricted opening without flight-specific confirmation.

Select the aircraft for the full itinerary

Passenger numbers alone do not determine the cabin. Baggage, departure point and destinations after Montreal also matter. An aircraft proposed for a short regional sector should not become the default selection for an Atlantic crossing.

We can compare a Phenom 300 with a Falcon 8X where their respective missions are relevant, subject to assessment and availability.

This airport information presumes neither local availability nor automatic acceptance at CYHU. The operator proposal must identify the aircraft actually assessed.

Budget and onward flights after Montreal

The quotation accounts for the sectors and positioning, followed by aircraft arrangements on the ground.

Our aircraft category cost benchmarks help compare cabins, but an hourly amount is not a Canadian route fare. Charges and any aircraft repositioning must be specified for the rotation.

A light jet provides a reference from roughly EUR 4,000 per hour; ultra long range aircraft are around EUR 9,000 to 12,000 per hour for an intercontinental mission. These euro benchmarks compare categories rather than advertising contractual Canadian tariffs.

If your programme continues to Toronto, our Toronto private flight article helps frame that second stop. Montreal acceptance does not cover the following arrival. We establish confirmations for each airport selected.

For a correctly identified reception point, have your itinerary to or from Saint-Hubert prepared.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private flight at MET cost?

A light jet gives a reference around EUR 4,000 per hour; an ultra long range cabin is around EUR 9,000 to 12,000 per hour for an intercontinental mission. The MET total accounts for positioning and programme charges. These euro benchmarks are not contractual Canadian tariffs.

How long is the transfer from Saint-Hubert to Montreal?

MET advertises 15 km from downtown Montreal. This does not guarantee a driving time, which depends on the FBO, destination address and traffic. We arrange the transfer around the confirmed reception point and appointment time, keeping that period separate from flying time.

Should I report to the new commercial terminal?

Not automatically. The terminal opened in June 2026 and business aviation FBOs have separate passenger processes. For a private flight, we provide the location agreed with the handler; HUB FBO and Lux FBO are among the facilities in the official directory, at different addresses.

Does the absence of slots mean no other flight formalities?

No. MET describes slot flexibility for applicable movements. Other requirements still need confirmation, including flight category, reception and services, plus entry formalities for an international arrival. Our teams examine them with the operator before confirmation.

Does the 900-seat lounge belong to an FBO?

No. The 900 seats in the launch announcement describe the new 21,000 m² commercial terminal. They do not represent a business lounge reserved for your passengers; we confirm which facilities can actually be used and where your party will be received.
