EBACE 2026 Cancelled: What You Need to Know

What was announced

On 10 April 2026, the EBAA (European Business Aviation Association) announced the cancellation of EBACE 2026, about eight weeks before it was due to open. The show was to be held from 2 to 4 June 2026 at the Palexpo exhibition centre, near Geneva Airport. The association was careful to make one essential point: it is the 2026 edition that is cancelled, not the show itself. A 2027 edition remains possible, with no date confirmed at this stage. A full overview of the show is available in our article on EBACE.

The reasons given

The EBAA points to commercial reasons. The format planned for 2026 did not gather the support needed for a viable edition, in an environment where exhibitor and visitor expectations have changed and where competing events have multiplied. The association also cites a more uncertain market context, and presents the decision as the most responsible course of action given the situation. No cause linked to local regulation or to protest movements was put forward by the organiser.

A show in transition for two years

This cancellation comes during a period of transition. In August 2024, NBAA, the American association that had long co-organised EBACE, sold its stake to the EBAA, which became the sole organiser. The 2025 edition did take place, from 20 to 22 May in Geneva, but without the static aircraft display that had been the show's signature. Held every year in Geneva for more than twenty years, EBACE had since been looking for a new model.

What does it mean for business aviation?

The cancellation of a trade show changes nothing in the sector's day-to-day activity. Airlines, operators and brokers continue their operations, and charter demand is not affected. Other European and international gatherings still bring the profession together. EBACE was above all a place for exhibition and commercial exchange between manufacturers, equipment suppliers and operators, with no bearing on flight bookings.

Business aviation remains active in Geneva

Geneva remains one of the main hubs of business aviation in Europe, driven by its airport and the proximity of the Alps. IBC Aviation has an office there and continues to organise flights, to or from Switzerland, with no link to the trade-show calendar. Frequently asked questions

Has EBACE 2026 really been cancelled?

Yes. The EBAA announced the cancellation on 10 April 2026, for the edition planned from 2 to 4 June 2026 in Geneva.

Has EBACE been discontinued for good?

No. Only the 2026 edition is cancelled. The EBAA says a 2027 edition remains possible, with no date confirmed so far.

Why was EBACE 2026 cancelled?

For commercial reasons: the planned format did not gather enough support, in a more competitive event landscape and a market seen as more uncertain.

Who organises EBACE?

The EBAA, the European business-aviation association, which became the sole organiser after buying out NBAA's stake in 2024.

Was there an EBACE in 2025?

Yes, from 20 to 22 May 2025 in Geneva, but without the static aircraft display of previous editions.

Is another show replacing EBACE 2026?

No replacement event has been announced to date.

Does the cancellation change anything for chartering a private jet?

No. A trade show has no bearing on aircraft availability or on the organisation of flights.
