Amsterdam Schiphol: Private Jets, Slots and Formalities

Schiphol private flights need confirmed airport access

Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS / EHAM) is coordinated by ACNL. Business aviation uses facilities including Schiphol-East and the K-apron, with stands allocated by ground handlers. General aviation night operations are restricted in principle.

Our Luxembourg office prepares flights to or from Schiphol with the operator and selected handler. Request arrangements for your Schiphol flight and state your essential arrival time.

Preparation starts by matching airport access to the schedule. Our Luxembourg charter teams then consider the full programme, while our Amsterdam private jet guide covers the destination itself.

Schiphol-East has a separate passenger process

A private jet passenger should not select the drop-off point from an airline terminal name. At Schiphol-East, the handler allocates the aircraft stand and confirms the relevant meeting location. We pass those instructions to the driver before collection.

For a connection with a long-haul airline service, give us its flight number and the luggage details. Airline reception, any formalities and the transfer to the jet’s meeting point need to fit the schedule. We have that sequence assessed rather than apply one universal connection time.

An airport slot is more than a preferred time

The ACNL policy effective from winter 2026 sets out slot allocation arrangements. GCR is a format for general aviation requests; the OCS portal is also provided. This belongs to the preparation of the operation, without technical filing work for the passenger.

We ask the operator to match the slot to your requirements before confirmation. If a meeting moves or an inbound connection runs late, the revised timing needs checking. An airport slot and any air traffic control regulation are distinct constraints within the flight programme.

Arranging Schiphol with IBC Aviation

Our Luxembourg office assembles the constraints that shape your trip. Send your itinerary to or from Amsterdam with passenger numbers and the departure airport. For a return flight, explain whether the second sector remains variable or is tied to a fixed commitment.

  • Aircraft selection: match routing, cabin and luggage
  • Stopover arrangements: confirm the slot, reception and ground duration
  • Ground connections: supply addresses and connecting flight numbers

Your travel instructions state the selected local times and meeting point. Aircraft and crew are assessed with the operator for the planned mission rather than selected from model names alone. A schedule change is considered against those arrangements before the driver’s instructions are altered.

A night arrival needs its own assessment

The AIP states that general aviation is in principle not allowed to operate during the night period. A quiet aircraft or an airport slot obtained for daytime does not change that rule; the Dutch inspectorate enforces slot use, including unplanned night operations without a valid slot.

We therefore have a late departure examined before the remainder of the trip is fixed. H24 availability of an apron or ground service is separate from authorisation of the aircraft movement. If the requested timing cannot be accepted, we discuss a revised programme.

External Schengen declarations require two hours

For a flight crossing the external Schengen border, the Marechaussee requires a General Declaration at least 2 hours before departure. The deadline refers to the flight’s departure, including a service that subsequently arrives in the Netherlands. Aircraft and traveller details need to be prepared accordingly.

We have the information coordinated with the operator and handler. A flight between Schengen countries should not automatically be treated as the same case. The actual international routing determines the checks, alongside any other formalities relevant to the passengers.

Pricing follows the selected mission

A Phenom 300 may be assessed for a European sector depending on payload. Indicative light jet rates start at EUR 4,000 per hour. That reference is not a total fare. Positioning, the stopover and applicable airport costs contribute to the quotation, as outlined in our rates by aircraft category.

For a longer stay, the proposal should identify which aircraft movements are included and how the return is arranged. This allows an assistant to compare matching schedules instead of comparing only the passenger sector or cabin size.

Receive a proposal suited to your Schiphol timings, with reception and formalities prepared.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet to or from Schiphol cost?

Indicative light jet rates start at EUR 4,000 per hour. The full price reflects routing, positioning sectors, stopover charges and the return programme.

Can I book a night departure from Amsterdam?

General aviation is not permitted at night in principle. The programme needs a specific assessment; a daytime slot or quiet aircraft does not authorise a night operation.

When is the external Schengen declaration required?

The Marechaussee requires a General Declaration at least 2 hours before departure for flights crossing the external Schengen border, whether arriving in or leaving the Netherlands.

Where do I meet the private jet at Schiphol?

Business aviation uses facilities including Schiphol-East and the K-apron. Your flight documents specify the meeting point and selected ground handler. Give that confirmed address to your driver before the airport transfer.
