Gulfstream G800
Since its simultaneous certification by the FAA and EASA in April 2025, the Gulfstream G800 has redefined the hierarchy of the ultra-long-range business jet segment. Faster, more autonomous and more advanced than its predecessors, the successor to the G650ER has become, in just a few months, the new benchmark for a demanding clientele in search of absolute intercontinental reach.
With a record range of 8,200 nautical miles (15,200 km) and a top speed of Mach 0.935, the G800 reinforces Gulfstream's position in the ultra-long-range segment, against the Bombardier Global 8000, the Dassault Falcon 10X and its older sibling the G700. But beyond the figures, this aircraft represents a true paradigm shift in cabin design, flight deck and environmental commitment.
Gulfstream G800: Performance, Cabin and Record Range of the New Ultra-Long-Range Champion
More than a simple successor to the G650ER, the Gulfstream G800 embodies the technological maturity of Gulfstream Aerospace. Designed to connect the world's most distant business capitals non-stop, it combines cutting-edge engineering, refined interior design and fuel efficiency. A closer look at an aircraft that already stands as a new standard of business aviation.
Record range: 15,200 km non-stop
With its 8,200 nautical miles of range at long-range cruise speed (Mach 0.85), the Gulfstream G800 exceeds initial program projections by 200 nautical miles. This reach allows it to connect non-stop city pairs that were previously inaccessible: Paris — Buenos Aires, Geneva — Sydney, Dubai — Los Angeles or New York — Tokyo all become direct flights.
At high speed, the aircraft cruises at Mach 0.90 and can reach a maximum of Mach 0.935, making it one of the fastest in the business jet segment. These performances are powered by an entirely new engine developed specifically for the program: the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700.

A cabin redesigned for long-haul flights
The G800 cabin measures 14.27 metres in length and offers four distinct living areas. It can accommodate up to 19 passengers in lounge configuration or 10 sleeping berths in night configuration. But the real innovation lies in the on-board experience, completely reimagined for flights of more than 14 hours.

Four modular living areas
Each G800 is fully customised according to the specifications of its owner or operator: private suite with double bed, bathroom with shower, conference dining area, reception lounge, dedicated crew rest space. The configurations imagined by Gulfstream's Savannah design studio turn this aircraft into a true office and aerial residence.
16 panoramic windows — the largest in the industry
The G800 introduces the largest panoramic oval windows in the business aviation industry. With 16 windows in total, they flood the cabin with natural light and offer a striking view of the world below — a visual signature instantly recognisable from outside the aircraft.
Pure air thanks to the plasma-ionisation system
Cabin altitude is maintained at just 2,916 feet at 41,000 feet of cruise altitude — one of the lowest in the market. Even better: Gulfstream has equipped the G800 with a 100% fresh-air system renewed every two to three minutes, coupled with a plasma-ionisation purification technology. A major innovation that significantly reduces fatigue and jet lag on intercontinental flights.
The Symmetry Flight Deck: a revolutionary cockpit
The G800's flight deck is equipped with the Symmetry Flight Deck, the most awarded avionics suite in the industry. This platform represents a radical change compared to previous generations.

Among its most distinctive features:
- 10 touchscreen displays — the most extensive use of touch technology in business aviation.
- Active Control Sidesticks — the world's first active sidesticks, providing haptic feedback between captain and first officer.
- Combined Vision System (CVS) — real-time fusion of the Synthetic Vision System (SVS) and the Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) into a single image projected on the head-up display.
- Predictive Landing Performance System — predictive landing assistance that anticipates the risk of runway overruns.
This integration significantly reduces pilot workload and grants access to a greater number of airfields under degraded weather conditions.
Engines: the all-new Rolls-Royce Pearl 700
The Gulfstream G800 is powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, developed specifically for the programme. Each engine delivers a maximum thrust of 18,250 pounds, for a total of 36,500 pounds of thrust. Compared to previous generations, these engines offer noticeable improvements in fuel consumption, emissions and noise levels, while delivering the power required to achieve the announced performance.
This propulsion fits into Gulfstream's environmental strategy: every Pearl 700 engine is already 100% compatible with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).
Gulfstream G800 vs competitors: comparison
The G800 operates in the ultra-long-range segment, where it faces three direct competitors: the Bombardier Global 8000, the Dassault Falcon 10X and the Gulfstream G700.
| Criterion | Gulfstream G800 | Gulfstream G700 | Bombardier Global 8000 | Dassault Falcon 10X |
| Range | 8,200 nm | 7,750 nm | 8,000 nm | 7,500 nm |
| Max speed | Mach 0.935 | Mach 0.935 | Mach 0.94 | Mach 0.925 |
| Cabin width | 2.59 m | 2.59 m | 2.49 m | 2.77 m |
| Max capacity | 19 pax | 19 pax | 19 pax | 19 pax |
| Programme status | In service | In service | In service | In development |
The G800 thus combines the longest commercial range in the segment with the maturity of a platform already in service since August 2025.
A sustainable vision of business aviation
Beyond full SAF compatibility, the Gulfstream G800 is part of a broader eco-responsible approach. Its optimised aerodynamic design, new wing and Pearl 700 engines significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions per passenger-kilometre compared to the G650ER. These gains are complemented by a predictive maintenance programme that extends component life while optimising technical stopovers.
