Customs and immigration at Seletar run around the clock. Seletar shuts at 22:00, and Changi is no fallback

To limit noise, the Singapore AIP entry for Seletar, effective 9 July 2026, bans all flights from 14:00 to 23:00 UTC, medical evacuation and emergencies aside. In Singapore time (UTC+8), that closes the airfield from 22:00 to 07:00, every night of the year. The Changi section of the same AIP rules out non-scheduled aircraft of 40 seats or fewer except in special circumstances, so there is nowhere else to land at night.

Work the clock backwards. With 2h20 in the air and a one-hour time difference, a jet leaving Don Mueang after 18:40 Bangkok time arrives too late. We plan for 18:00, which leaves room for taxiing and holding.

Heading north is easier: leave Seletar at 21:30 and you land at Don Mueang at about 22:50, where the airport never closes. Seletar also sets aside periods of the day for training flights, when no other aircraft may depart or arrive, and we schedule around them.

A same-day return, with a fuel stop at Seletar

Take off from Don Mueang at 07:00 and you reach Seletar at around 10:20 Singapore time. Leave at 20:00 and you are back in Bangkok by about 21:20, the aircraft having waited on the ground.

It will need fuel. Our fleet page gives the Phenom 300 an endurance of 4h30, short of the 4h40 the round trip requires. Fuelling at Seletar runs from 07:30 to 22:00 on weekdays, but only from 08:30 to 17:30 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. A weekend return is built around that window, and we have the tanks filled as soon as the jet lands.
