FNBJ: identifying your Luanda arrival

NBJ and FNLU are different airports

The new airport’s operator identifies Dr António Agostinho Neto by the codes NBJ and FNBJ. The general phrase “Luanda airport” is therefore insufficient to tell a traveller where to meet a driver.

The transfer of scheduled airline services to NBJ does not by itself determine the rights or operational options for a business flight at either airport. The operator confirms the accepted platform; we then include that identification in the instructions for travellers.

If you are meeting passengers arriving on another flight, share their details before setting the meeting time. The two arrivals may be organised at different airports.

Two runways, subject to aircraft assessment

Angola’s Ministry of Transport identifies runways 06R/24L and 06L/24R at FNBJ. Their existence does not guarantee that both will be available, or that a particular aircraft can use one on the day of travel.

The operator consults the applicable aeronautical publications and notices, then checks aircraft performance with the planned payload, fuel and onward destination. We do not infer the feasibility of a non-stop trip from the airport’s name alone.

Passenger numbers and baggage dimensions are provided at the assessment stage. If a technical stop or different aircraft is required, the offer identifies the programme actually proposed.

From the airport to your address in Angola

When presenting the project, the ministry placed the site approximately 42 km from central Luanda. That geographic indication does not establish the road distance to your address or the travel time in traffic.

For a business trip, share your first meeting address and the group’s drop-off points. Once the airport and reception location are confirmed, we can coordinate collection and pass the details to the driver. The road margin is assessed for the relevant time of day.

Documents and reception before confirmation

Requirements depend in part on nationality and the purpose of travel. Chartering an aircraft does not remove border checks. Entry conditions, traffic rights and ground services are checked with the relevant parties for the mission.

A specific terminal or lounge is not guaranteed merely by selecting NBJ. The operator and ground handler confirm the procedure for each group; our team includes it in your itinerary. For staggered arrivals, meeting points are assessed separately.
