Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ): Airbus's Private Jets

What is an Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ)?

ACJ (Airbus Corporate Jets) is Airbus's business-aviation arm. The principle: take a proven airliner airframe — A220, A320, A330, A350 — and fit it out as a private cabin. The result is cabin volume unmatched by conventional business jets: according to Airbus, ACJ aircraft offer the widest and tallest cabins in business aviation, with around 20% more height and 65% more width than traditional large business jets.

Born from a European consortium in 1970 and now Airbus SE, the manufacturer — headquartered in Toulouse — delivered 793 commercial aircraft in 2025 (766 in 2024), for a record order backlog of 8,754 aircraft at the end of 2025.

The ACJ TwoTwenty, the newest

Unveiled in 2020 and entering service in 2023, the ACJ TwoTwenty is the latest addition to the range. Derived from the A220-100, it targets the compact "bizliner" segment with an airliner cabin: 73 m2 across six zones of around 12 m2 each — about three times the space of a large business jet, according to Airbus — for a range of 5,650 nm (10,465 km), more than twelve hours of flight. Its cabin, 3.3 m wide and 2.1 m high, allows standing. Outfitting is handled by Comlux, Airbus's exclusive partner, at its Indianapolis centre; four aircraft had been delivered by early 2026. It typically carries 18 passengers.

The ACJneo range: ACJ319neo and ACJ320neo

Based on the A320neo family, Airbus offers two narrowbody private jets, in service since 2019:

  • ACJ319neo: up to 6,750 nm (about 12,500 km), nearly fifteen hours of flight, in a cabin of around 83 m2, for 8 passengers in VIP configuration. This is the version IBC Aviation charters.
  • ACJ320neo: 6,000 nm (about 11,100 km) and a 96 m2 cabin seating up to 25 passengers.

Their 3.7 m-wide cabin exceeds that of any purpose-built business jet.

The widebodies: ACJ330neo and ACJ350

At the top of the range, two widebodies built for intercontinental and head-of-state missions:

  • ACJ330neo: up to 21 hours non-stop and a cabin of up to 243 m2, with around 12% lower fuel burn than the previous generation.
  • ACJ350: the flagship. Up to 22 hours of flight, a cabin of up to 308 m2 — the largest in the range — and around 25% lower fuel burn than the competition, according to Airbus. The ACJ350-1000 offers the longest cabin in the ACJ line.

The decisive edge: cabin space

Where a purpose-built business jet — Falcon, Global, Gulfstream — optimises range on a compact airframe, the ACJ plays the volume card. Standing headroom, bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, separate lounge and dining areas: an ACJ feels like a flying residence. The trade-off is well known: dedicated ultra-long-range jets such as the Global 7500 or the Gulfstream G700 keep the advantage on pure range and short-runway access, but none comes close to an ACJ's living volume. With its 6,750 nm, the ACJ319neo nonetheless narrows that gap significantly.
