Slot and parking: the 14-day window

Hong Kong is a Level 3 coordinated airport. Every arrival and every departure needs a slot, and business aviation must hold three confirmed bookings before flying: runway, parking stand and ground handling. Without a confirmed slot, the flight plan is not accepted.

The timetable is tight. Under the rules issued by the Hong Kong slot coordinator and the airport authority in August 2025, slots open only 14 days ahead. Once a slot is conditionally granted, the parking request must follow within 24 hours, or the slot goes back into the pool. Time on the ground is capped at 14 days, extendable if space allows.

These bookings are tied to the aircraft's registration, so switching aircraft means starting again. We therefore file only once the aircraft is fixed. If your plans shift, tell us early: an unused slot has to be returned at least two days before the flight, or the operator collects penalty points.

A day in Hong Kong, back the same evening

Both airports operate day and night, which leaves the return time open as long as the requested slots are free. Leave Don Mueang at 08:00 and you are in Hong Kong at around 11:40 local time. A 21:00 departure brings you back to Bangkok at about 22:40.
