For a Zurich traveller heading home from Luxembourg, the constraint sits at Findel: take-off before 23:00, landing in Zurich well before midnight. For a Luxembourg traveller returning from Zurich, a 21:45 departure lands at Findel around 22:35, inside Findel's hours. We aim for 21:15 and confirm at booking which rule applies to the business aviation slot obtained. After a late dinner in Zurich, flying back the next morning is the safer plan.

Three days in Luxembourg, then the aircraft must be declared

A Zurich executive spending several days in Luxembourg can keep the aircraft on site. The Luxembourg AIP of 3 September 2026 sets the standard time on the ground at 72 hours: a longer stay must be notified, and the aircraft may have to be repositioned.

Beyond three days, we notify the extension to the Business Aviation Center or send the aircraft back empty to its base, whichever costs less. Findel's customs and immigration work around the clock, which makes an early start back to Switzerland straightforward.

Late January: two hours of parking in Zurich

During the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, at the end of January, the Swiss coordinator caps parking at Zurich at 2 hours. The aircraft drops you off and leaves; it cannot wait for the week. We arrange its repositioning and its return for the day your stay ends.

At Findel in midwinter, the AIP also limits the aircraft's auxiliary power unit to 20 minutes before departure, which shortens cabin heating on the ground. The Business Aviation Center can grant an exception on its apron, and we request it when boarding takes place in hard frost.
