Private Jet Dubai London, 6h45 Non Stop
A long haul decided by the time difference
Dubai is on GMT+4 and London on GMT or GMT+1 depending on the season : three to four hours apart. Combined with 6h45 of flying, that opens a possibility scheduled airlines exploit poorly. Leaving the Emirates in the early morning puts you in London during the local morning, with the working day intact.
In the other direction the night flight dominates : an evening departure from London, arriving in Dubai at dawn. Over that duration, cabin configuration and the ability to lie flat matter as much as cruise speed.
Departure and arrival airports
Distance : 5,500 km. Flight time : 6h45.
- Departure : Dubai International (DXB), central but very busy, with contested slots.
- Departure : Al Maktoum (DWC), markedly smoother for business aviation, further from the centre.
- Arrival : Farnborough (FAB), the London reference for private long haul.
- Arrival : Luton (LTN), Stansted (STN), Biggin Hill (BQH), depending on final destination and arrival time.
Choosing between DXB and DWC is the real trade-off on this route. DXB wins on ground transfer time, DWC on slot availability and speed of handling. Our Dubai team decides according to the intended departure hour. See Dubai by private jet.
Which private jet to choose for Dubai to London
At 5,500 km, a non stop sector rules out the intermediate categories. A heavy jet is the minimum, and an ultra long range aircraft provides welcome margin against headwinds.
- Falcon 900LX : three engines, spacious cabin, the credible entry point on this route.
- Global 5000 : 13 passengers, cabin comfort recognised on night sectors.
- Gulfstream G650 : comfortable range margin and high cruise speed.
Category details are set out on our ultra long range jets page.
Private jet Dubai London price : from 44,000 euros
A one-way flight starts from around 44,000 euros on a heavy jet and sits between 60,000 and 80,000 euros on an ultra long range aircraft. Over this distance fuel and overflight charges weigh heavily in the quote, and the routing chosen can move the total by several thousand euros.
Empty legs Dubai to London
The Gulf to Europe corridor generates regular repositioning, particularly after the major Emirati business events. Empty leg flights are less frequent here than on short routes, but the saving in absolute terms is far larger : 30 to 60 % off a five figure fare.
Al Maktoum : why the choice of airport will matter more
Departing the Emirates turns on a trade-off that is shifting, and it is worth explaining.
Dubai approved a major expansion of Al Maktoum in 2024, intended in time to absorb all the traffic currently handled at Dubai International. The programme spans more than a decade, but the direction is set : business aviation already finds ground fluidity there that DXB, saturated by commercial traffic, can no longer offer at peak hours.
The second factor is human rather than infrastructural. Entry conditions for the United Kingdom depend on each passenger's nationality, not on the point of departure, and the country has rolled out an electronic travel authorisation for several visa-exempt nationalities. On a flight out of Dubai, where passenger groups are often of mixed nationalities, that passenger-by-passenger check governs when the flight plan can be filed.
Our Dubai office handles both points before confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
Is Dubai to London genuinely flown non stop ?
Yes, from the heavy jet category upwards. Lower categories would require a technical stop, usually in Turkey or central Europe, adding ninety minutes to two hours to the total journey.
Is a visa needed for the United Kingdom from the Emirates ?
Requirements depend on each passenger's nationality, not on the point of departure. The United Kingdom has also rolled out an electronic travel authorisation for several visa-exempt nationalities. Our teams check each passenger's position before the flight plan is filed.
Is DXB or DWC the better departure ?
DWC for fluidity and speed on the ground, DXB for proximity to the centre and Downtown. At peak hours, the time saved on the ground at Al Maktoum often offsets the extra kilometres by car.
Is DXB or Al Maktoum the better departure ?
Al Maktoum for ground fluidity and slot availability, Dubai International for proximity to the centre. At peak hours, the time saved on the ground at Al Maktoum generally offsets the extra kilometres by car.
