Private jet hire London to Palma: from €25,000 in a Falcon 2000

It is one of our private jet starting prices. It covers a one-way flight in a Falcon 2000, 10 seats and 2h00 of flying, and it is a starting price: dates, aircraft availability and taxes set the final quote, and since the page names no London airport, we do not tie the amount to any one of them.

Ten seats is often more than four people need. A smaller jet is quoted on request, based on what is actually free on your dates, because flight time alone does not make the price: where the aircraft is based, positioning legs and crew waiting time in Palma weigh just as much.

Over 20 m long: 7 days' parking at most in Palma in summer

The Spanish AIP, in its edition of 3 September 2026, sets the rule: from 1 June to 30 September, an aircraft longer than 20 m may stay no more than 7 days on the general aviation apron unless the airport expressly allows it. Dassault Aviation gives its Falcon 2000LXS a length of 20.23 m. The aircraft in our price example is therefore caught, whereas a midsize such as the Citation XLS, about 16 m according to Textron Aviation for its latest version, is not.

For a week in Mallorca in August, the decision is made at booking: the aircraft either stays within the 7-day limit, or flies home empty and comes back for you, which adds two positioning flights. IBC Aviation raises the point before confirming the aircraft, not the day before departure.

From April to September, the slot request covers both arrival and departure and gives the aircraft's length and wingspan, so an open-ended stay cannot be coordinated. Three hours before the planned departure time, Palma's departure management system checks the flight plan against the slot once more. Destination and aircraft type must match.

On a Sunday evening, London sets the return time

Palma operates around the clock, customs and immigration included. The limit on a late return sits at the other end: Farnborough and Biggin Hill close in the evening, and Mallorca is one hour ahead of London all year, since both countries change their clocks on the same Sunday. With 2h00 of flying, here is the latest realistic take-off from Palma, in Palma local time:

• To Farnborough: closes at 20:00 at weekends and 22:00 on weekdays. Take off at around 19:00 on a Sunday and 21:00 on a weekday, ideally a little earlier, as the UK AIP only accepts aircraft already at or below 4,000 ft and within 12 track miles of touchdown five minutes before closing.
• To Biggin Hill: open until 22:00 at weekends and 23:00 on weekdays, with no movements outside those hours. The last departure from Palma is around 21:00 on a Sunday.
• To Luton: the AIP lists it as open day and night, with an ACL slot for every movement. In summer 2026, from 1 June to 30 September, its scheduling declaration nonetheless allowed no ad hoc flights between 23:00 and 06:59; the rule for summer 2027 has not been published yet.

Departure and arrival airports

The great-circle distance is close to 1,330 km from Farnborough or Biggin Hill, and 1,390 km from Luton.

• Departure: Farnborough (FAB / EGLF), south-west of London, given over to business aviation and used on prior permission
• Departure: Biggin Hill (BQH / EGKB), 12 nautical miles south-south-east of London according to the AIP
• Departure: Luton (LTN / EGGW), to the north, ACL slot required
• Arrival: Palma de Mallorca (PMI / LEPA), 8 km east of the city, with a general aviation terminal and two approved FBOs, Aviapartner and Mallorcair, set out on our Palma airport page

Many passengers head for the harbour rather than the old town. Puerto Portals lies 16 km from the airport, according to the marina itself. Port Adriano, in the municipality of Calvià, closes the bay to the south-west, some twenty kilometres from Palma. Which private jet for London to Palma

• Citation XLS, midsize: 8 passengers and 4h45 of range, below the 20 m threshold.
• Phenom 300, light jet: 7 passengers, 4h30 of range and a lavatory on board.

Palma's two runways, 3,000 and 3,270 m long, place no limit on any of the three. Over two hours, the choice comes down to the number of passengers, the luggage and the length of your stay.

British passports in Palma: the 10-year rule and EES

Mallorca is in the Schengen area. For a British passport, the Foreign Office advice on entry to Spain, updated on 12 August 2026, sets two conditions: a date of issue less than 10 years before the day you arrive, and an expiry date at least 3 months after you leave the Schengen area. A passport renewed before 1 October 2018 can fail the first test. Visa-free stays remain capped at 90 days in any 180-day period.

The check itself has changed. According to the European Commission, the Entry/Exit System, EES, has been fully operational since 10 April 2026: fingerprints and a photo are taken on first entry, and the passport stamp is gone. Children aged 11 or under give a photo only. The European travel authorisation, ETIAS, is not yet in operation.

On the UK side, the General Aviation Report applies in both directions: the operator declares the departure from London as well as the return from Palma. An EU passenger without UK residence status flies back into London with a passport and an ETA.

Empty legs London to Palma

The 7-day limit and week-long stays generate positioning flights between London and Mallorca in summer, in both directions. Some are sold as empty legs for flexible dates, and they are rarely confirmed more than a few days ahead.
