Findel sets the deadline for the evening leg

The Luxembourg AIP, in its edition of 3 September 2026, closes the airport to traffic from 23:00 to 06:00 local time, all year round. Its permanent exemptions cover state, medical, humanitarian, rescue and emergency flights, not charters. A chartered flight must apply to the Luxembourg air navigation administration for an individual curfew extension, with no guarantee.

With a one-hour flight, leaving Geneva after 22:00 is not an option. We aim for 21:30. That slot also keeps you clear of Geneva's own 22:00 to midnight window, when take-offs are only allowed under conditions such as the noise index.
