Four areas, one pass: understanding Niseko United

Niseko United gathers Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and Annupuri, all draped over the same volcano, Mount Annupuri, facing Mount Yotei. Grand Hirafu holds the village life, the restaurants and the après; Hanazono the family side and the newest lifts; Annupuri the quieter slopes. One pass moves you between all four as the day unfolds.

Night skiing is the place's signature: from mid-December to late March, Hirafu and Annupuri floodlight their slopes until 9pm. Riding a fresh fall as the light drops exists nowhere else at this scale.

Getting in: New Chitose and its business terminal

Your jet lands at New Chitose (CTS), south of Sapporo, about 110 km from the resort. Since December 2023 the airport has run a dedicated business aviation terminal, the Hokkaido Business Aviation Center, open 8am to 8pm: private security and customs, clear of the airline flows. Allow 2h30 to 3h30 of private transfer depending on the state of the roads, frequently snowbound, and build de-icing into the departure plan.

Indicative flight times: about 4h30 from Hong Kong, 6h30 from Bangkok, 7 hours from Singapore, in a heavy or ultra-long-range jet such as a Global 6000. From Europe, the trip builds around one stop, often in the Gulf.

January and February are booked in autumn
