Citation Latitude and Longitude: Galileo HDX connectivity certified

On 15 October 2026, Textron Aviation announced that the US regulator, the FAA, has certified the Gogo Galileo HDX connectivity system on the Citation Longitude and the Citation Latitude. Worldwide coverage from low earth orbit

Galileo HDX runs on Eutelsat's OneWeb network, a constellation of satellites in low earth orbit. Textron Aviation describes it as a low latency connection designed to keep passengers online for the whole flight, whichever region they are crossing.

The antenna is mounted on the fuselage. The manufacturer says this makes the system easier to install and operate than other satellite equipment. For a passenger, latency matters as much as bandwidth, because it governs how smoothly a video call runs. Gogo, for its part, offers support around the clock all year, with a technician on the tarmac within 24 hours if needed.

What is certified, and from when

The certification covers both models. Customers who choose Galileo HDX receive a preferred worldwide service rate guaranteed for three years, and factory-new aircraft delivered from 2028 will be eligible for installation at no charge.

The announcement does not mention fitting aircraft already in service, nor a validation by the European regulator, EASA. For a charter flight, connectivity therefore depends on the aircraft proposed: we confirm the fitted system before sending you our proposal.
