From a Commercial Flight to a Private Jet in Paris

Connecting between two Paris airports

If your airline flight from the U.S. lands at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and you are continuing to Nice, Geneva or another European city by private jet, the charter typically departs from Paris Le Bourget (LBG). IBC Aviation’s Paris office coordinates the drive between terminals, ground handling and the private flight. It can also check with the carrier whether a CDG departure is possible.

Send us your inbound flight and request an onward charter proposal.

Where will your private jet depart?

The French order governing traffic at Paris airports directs non-scheduled commercial flights in aircraft with 25 seats or fewer to Le Bourget when seats are not sold individually. Certain connections at CDG may qualify for an exemption granted by the minister responsible for civil aviation. The carrier must also obtain a CDG slot through a ground handling provider. We confirm both first.

With a departure from Le Bourget, you leave the airline terminal and travel by road to the private terminal your Paris charter team has arranged. The airport name alone gives the driver too little information. Your itinerary includes the exact address, the drop-off point and the person expecting you. Our Paris airport guide sets out where the airfields are.

StepWhat we arrange with you
Before you leave the United StatesWe collect your airline flight number, expected arrival terminal, passenger list and luggage details. We check the proposed charter against your arrival deadline.
On arrival at CDGFor a direct flight from the U.S., allow time to cross the external border. Collect bags tagged to CDG, then meet the driver after leaving the arrivals area.
Between airportsWe confirm the meeting point and the vehicle. Driving time depends on the terminal, road traffic and your drop-off point.
Before the private flightThe private terminal receives your party and luggage. We coordinate the departure with the operating carrier.
At your final airportOn request, a driver meets you at the agreed location. The team can also coordinate your hotel arrival.

Plan for your checked luggage at CDG

At your U.S. check-in counter, confirm that your bags are tagged to CDG. If you are driving to Le Bourget, plan to collect your checked bags in Paris. The Paris Aéroport guide to connections on separate reservations explains baggage collection before the next part of the trip. If you request extra assistance, we confirm in advance who can handle each bag and where.

Passport control and customs are separate. On a direct U.S. flight, leaving the terminal at CDG means crossing the Schengen area’s external border in Paris. If you have already entered Schengen at another airport, share that routing with us. We also check the requirements for your onward destination with you, for example if you are continuing to the United Kingdom.

A golf bag, several strollers or equipment cases affect the vehicle as well as the aircraft. The IBC Aviation concierge briefs the driver on the expected luggage. The carrier checks what will fit on the proposed jet.

Build the schedule around your actual airline arrival

Leave room between the airline arrival and the charter. We allow for deplaning, border checks, baggage delivery and the drive.

For travel from March 16, 2027, the announced CDG terminal renumbering is due to change Terminal 2E to Terminal 5. Send us the flight number. We reconfirm the arrivals hall and driver meeting point on the day.

If the airline flight is delayed, your contact checks with the driver and carrier and explains the available option. Moving the charter depends on its slot and booking terms. At Le Bourget, French aeronautical rules prohibit jets from leaving their stand for takeoff between 10:15 p.m. and 6 a.m. local time. For a late arrival, we can look at a hotel in Paris and a departure the next morning.

Send the street address for your next stop in France. The team can compare a flight into Nice with an arrival closer to where you are staying, depending on the aircraft and availability. Our guide to coming to France by private jet covers direct arrivals and can help you plan the other direction.

Price the private flight and ground transfer together

As a guide, a Paris to Geneva private flight starts at €6,500 in a four-seat Citation Mustang for about one hour in the air. Our Paris office checks your actual luggage before putting forward an aircraft of that size.

If your family is headed to the Riviera, see the cabin options for a private flight from Paris to Nice. Your quote sets out requested transfers and the terms for changing the private flight. Your airline ticket follows its own booking terms.

Tell us the time you need to reach your final address. Request a quote with the onward charter and airport transfer set out together. We can also plan the trip in reverse, to or from Le Bourget, including the transfer to the CDG airline terminal in the other direction.

From the driver’s meeting point to your hotel arrival, have one point of contact coordinate your Paris connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I leave between my CDG arrival and my private flight?

The time depends on the inbound flight, terminal, border checks, luggage and drive. Our Paris office proposes a schedule for your itinerary and checks which parts can move if the airline arrival time changes.

How much does it cost to continue by private jet after CDG?

Paris to Geneva starts at €6,500 in a four-seat Citation Mustang, for about one hour of flying time. The final price depends on the aircraft, date and services requested. The quote lists transfers if you request them.

Can I take the private jet directly from CDG?

It can be assessed. French rules allow for a CDG connection exemption for aircraft with 25 seats or fewer under the conditions in the order. The carrier must also confirm the slot and ground handling arrangements.

What happens if my airline flight is delayed?

We check the revised timing with the driver, ground team and carrier. A separately booked charter has its own terms. At Paris Le Bourget, the jet departure restriction between 10:15 p.m. and 6 a.m. may mean flying the next morning.

What should I send before booking the onward charter?

Share your airline flight number, date, passenger count, luggage and final street address. Let us know about requirements such as a child seat so we can check the vehicle and aircraft together.
