Honeymoon by Private Jet: Maldives, Bora Bora, Isles
Honeymoon by private jet, it all rests on the last leg
The finest honeymoon destinations nearly all impose a constrained final transfer. The table below sums up the logic.
| Destination | Airport (code) | Last leg |
| Maldives | Malé (MLE) | Seaplane, daytime only |
| Seychelles | Mahé (SEZ) | Light aircraft or inter-island helicopter |
| Saint-Barthélemy | Saint-Martin (SXM) | Relay flight of 10 to 15 minutes |
| Bora Bora | Bora Bora (BOB) | Boat transfer from the motu |
| Santorini | Santorini (JTR) | Summer slots to anticipate |
The broker's role is to orchestrate flight, transfer and arrival seamlessly, with no waiting. For the long-haul legs, lean on our ultra-long-range jets and our concierge services.
Indian Ocean: Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius
In the Maldives, all international arrivals are at Malé (MLE). The last leg to the resort is most often by seaplane (Trans Maldivian Airways, Manta Air), which flies visually and during daytime only, generally between 06:00 and 16:30. Timing the jet's landing is therefore essential so as not to miss the last rotation. In the Seychelles, Mahé (SEZ) takes heavy and ultra-long-range jets, then a light aircraft reaches Praslin in about fifteen minutes, or a helicopter serves the private islands. In Mauritius, the airport (MRU) accepts almost any private jet, around 48 km from Port-Louis. Allow around 9 to 10 hours of flight from Europe to the Indian Ocean, within an ULR's reach. See our guide to private jet to the Maldives.
Caribbean: Saint-Barthélemy via Saint-Martin
Saint-Barthélemy calls for precise planning. The runway at Gustaf III airport, around 646 m, takes no jet: only small turboprops of fewer than 20 seats (such as the Twin Otter, 19 seats) land there, with a specific pilot qualification, and the airport closes at sunset, with no night flying. Private jets therefore land at Saint-Martin (SXM), from where a relay flight reaches Saint-Barth in 10 to 15 minutes, with a connection of at least 1 hour 15. To go further, read our Indian Ocean guide and our Saint-Barthélemy destination.
Pacific and Mediterranean: Bora Bora, Santorini, Croatia
Bora Bora is a case apart: its airport (BOB) sits on a motu, with a runway of around 1,500 m and a mandatory boat transfer to the island. From Europe, French Polynesia is reached in around twenty hours with several fuel stops, with no nonstop possible. Closer, Santorini (JTR) and Croatia are about another constraint: slots. Santorini is under Level 3 coordination in summer, with a slot to request several weeks ahead, and a frequent helicopter relay from Athens or Mykonos at peak. In Croatia, general aviation slots are tighter at Dubrovnik in high season, with Split often a more flexible alternative. See our guides to Santorini and private jet to Croatia.
Which jet, which access by destination?
To the Indian Ocean (Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius) and the Pacific, an ultra-long-range aircraft is needed; the Indian Ocean is reachable nonstop from Europe, the Pacific never. To Bali, a technical stop is often necessary; Denpasar airport (DPS) sits around 13 km south of the city. In the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, the constraint is not distance but the runway and the slots, with a last leg in a specialised aircraft: seaplane, turboprop or helicopter. These times are indicative and vary with aircraft and winds. Also discover our guide to private jet to Bali and the article on Siam Seaplane.

Frequently asked questions
Can you reach Saint-Barth directly by private jet?
No. The runway at Gustaf III (SBH) is around 646 metres and takes no jet, only small turboprops of fewer than 20 seats. Access is by a relay flight of 10 to 15 minutes from Saint-Martin (SXM), where the long-haul jet lands, with a connection of at least 1 hour 15.
How does the transfer to a Maldives resort work?
All international arrivals are at Malé (MLE). The last leg to the resort is most often by seaplane, which flies visually and during daytime only, generally between 06:00 and 16:30. It is therefore essential to time the jet's landing so as not to miss the last rotation.
Can a private jet land at Bora Bora?
Bora Bora airport (BOB) sits on a motu and takes aircraft on a runway of around 1,500 metres, followed by a mandatory boat transfer to the island. From Europe, French Polynesia is reached in around twenty hours with several fuel stops, with no nonstop possible.
Do you need to plan ahead for Santorini or Croatia in summer?
Yes. Santorini (JTR) is under Level 3 slot coordination in summer, with a slot request to anticipate by several weeks. In Croatia, general aviation slots are tighter at Dubrovnik in high season; Split often offers a more flexible alternative.
What is the best time for a honeymoon?
It depends on the destination: the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean suit mainly the dry season, the Mediterranean the summer and shoulder season. Our teams guide you by your dates and coordinate the entire itinerary.
