Private Jet Congo, Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire

Choose your Congo arrival around the first meeting

A charter to or from the Congo is assessed through Maya-Maya in Brazzaville or Antonio Agostinho Neto in Pointe-Noire. Both are in the Republic of the Congo, a separate country from the neighbouring DRC. Their runways and assistance arrangements differ, so an aircraft needs individual assessment for each stop.

Our Paris office coordinates the programme with Geneva or Dubai according to your departure point, then arranges reception and flight permissions. Request a proposal for your Congo business itinerary and tell us where your first meeting takes place.

Which airport suits your meetings?

Maya-Maya and Pointe-Noire have published runway lengths of 3,300 m and 2,612 m, respectively, in the ASECNA publications dated below. That difference matters when selecting an aircraft, particularly for a long-haul departure. Our Paris office requests a separate assessment for each sector and its planned load before offering the aircraft.

AirportPublished runwayPublished geographical distance
Brazzaville Maya-Maya, FCBB05/23, 3,300 × 45 m4.36 km northwest of the city
Pointe-Noire Antonio Agostinho Neto, FCPP17/35, 2,612 × 45 m4.78 km east-southeast of the city

The sources are the ASECNA entries for Maya-Maya, valid from 1 October 2026, and Pointe-Noire, valid from 6 August 2026. These are geographical distances. The road transfer still needs arranging. We ask for your meeting address to arrange the vehicle without turning a short geographical distance into a guaranteed arrival time.

For institutional meetings or a company head office in Brazzaville, begin with the host’s address. A coastal business visit may favour Pointe-Noire before an additional domestic flight is considered. When both cities appear on the calendar, the order follows meeting availability and aircraft arrangements rather than a general preference for either airport.

H24 services still require confirmed ground arrangements

ASECNA publishes customs, immigration and fuel services as H24 at these airports, while assistance for non-scheduled flights is on request. Your reception still needs confirmation. We verify the services required with ground assistance before settling the flight programme and communicating the arrangements to your passengers.

Parking and refuelling must fit the selected aircraft, with the required personnel available. For a same-day return, the jet may wait or depart again under the terms negotiated. We compare the arrangements with the operator and check crew duty limits. A meeting that runs late can affect the return flight, even when airport services remain open.

Build your business programme with IBC Aviation

Our Paris office coordinates travel to or from Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire. With 2 cities in the programme, we need the passengers on each leg, luggage details and the meeting windows. Geneva supports Swiss departures and Dubai supports Gulf departures. The office following your file centralises the arrangements.

Your proposal separates the flight arrangements from reception and agreed vehicle transfers. A business itinerary with several stops benefits from one coordinated file so its schedules remain compatible. Have Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire assessed together, even if the order of meetings still needs to be settled.

Onward travel to another country requires its permissions and entry documents to be checked separately. Our examples of a Paris-Libreville charter or a Paris-Douala flight help frame a wider regional programme. They do not establish that the Congo’s formalities apply to those destinations.

Assess flight permissions separately from the visa

The flight and the passenger’s entry involve 2 separate procedures. Traffic rights help determine the aviation permission. One notice period cannot cover every operation. We ask the operator to confirm the process with the Congo Civil Aviation Authority and build the flight schedule around the response.

The official texts reviewed cover different circumstances. We do not infer a universal number of days for every charter. Our explanation of flight permissions in Africa sets out the importance of the aircraft, operator and mission details. Early preparation creates time to check the file without guaranteeing approval.

For French business travellers subject to a visa, France Diplomatie’s guidance updated on 15 September 2026 describes the GIRAFE process. Online application and payment are followed by submission of the passport and supporting file, in person or by sending them to the embassy. The procedure is not entirely digital.

The same source gives approximately 7 working days for normal processing and 3 working days for express processing. These are announced timings, not a guarantee for your application. Invitation documents and their validation need checking against consular instructions. Other nationalities require the appropriate consular check rather than an automatic extension of the French rules.

Which aircraft and budget should you consider?

Heavy jets start from €6,500 per flight hour; ultra-long-range categories are in the €9,000 to €12,000 per flight hour range. These hourly benchmarks are not the total for a route. Positioning, local charges and time committed by the aircraft are specified in the quote for your complete itinerary.

  • Falcon 2000: a heavy jet example to assess against the passenger count and distance planned.
  • Falcon 7X: an ultra-long-range category to compare for the complete international programme.
  • Phenom 300: a possible regional example, subject to an aircraft being available and authorised for that sector.

Every offer depends on actual runway performance, aircraft weight and fuel requirements. Our charter cost guidance by category helps compare complete quotations. Access to an industrial installation, an offshore site or a possible helicopter connection needs separate assessment. Landing at Pointe-Noire does not establish permission or transport to that final location.

To plan the journey, ask our Paris office to prepare your Congo charter around the full meeting programme, including the onward sectors you need.

Frequently asked questions

How much should we budget for a private jet to or from the Congo?

Heavy jets start from €6,500 per flight hour as category guidance. The trip price follows the aircraft and its positioning, alongside local charges and the time committed to the programme. We prepare a quote for the requested sectors rather than turning the hourly benchmark into a route package price.

How long is a Brazzaville-Pointe-Noire flight?

The sector is of the order of one hour flying time, as guidance to confirm for the proposed charter. The aircraft and weather along the approved route affect the duration. We add presentation, formalities and ground transfers separately to build a schedule that fits the actual locations and times of your meetings.

Can the same aircraft use both airports?

That needs checking for the mission. Maya-Maya publishes a 3,300 m runway and Pointe-Noire a 2,612 m runway. The operator assesses aircraft performance, weight, fuel and the conditions on the day at each airport. A general aircraft category is no substitute for that validation before the charter is confirmed.

Does GIRAFE remove the need to submit a passport?

The process described for French business travellers includes online application and payment, followed by submission of the passport and supporting file, in person or by sending them to the embassy. It is therefore not entirely digital. Check the documents and announced processing times with the consulate for your circumstances.

Does a Congo visa also cover a visit to Kinshasa?

The Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are separate states. A document allowing entry to the Congo does not automatically grant admission to the DRC. For an onward visit to Kinshasa, we assess a separate passenger and aviation file according to nationalities and the selected programme.
