Under Swiss federal rules, a commercial take-off there remains possible between 22:00 and midnight if the aircraft meets a noise index of 96, and none is allowed until 06:00.

Leave Lake Geneva at 20:30 and you land in Ibiza at around 22:10, with no time difference. Coming home, a take-off from Ibiza at around 20:00 reaches Geneva at about 21:40, ahead of the night regime. Geneva's booking window is short. Geneva Airport opens PPR reservations only 5 days before the flight, and only through the ground handler. For a late-July departure planned in spring, the aircraft and crew are held early and the Geneva slot is requested the day the window opens.

A PPR does not commit the airport to a parking stand, and an aircraft waiting more than 3 hours in Geneva needs its approval. Ibiza in summer: an 18-metre wingspan changes the rules

The Ibiza AIP published by ENAIRE, in force since 9 July 2026, sets the rule. From 1 May to 15 October, any general aviation aircraft with a wingspan over 18 m staying longer than 3 hours must request its stand before the operation, and the slot request then needs the airport's parking approval.

The taxiways into the general aviation apron are limited to an 18 m wingspan. Anything larger parks on the commercial apron, where in season the airport may ask the operator to move the aircraft within 3 hours.

The slot itself is not optional. The AIP exempts only visual flights, and it does not allow jets to arrive or depart under visual rules: every private jet bound for Ibiza needs an airport slot.
