Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2027 by Private Jet
Cape Town Art Fair 2027, 19 to 21 February
A private jet for Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2027 is planned around the visitor days from 19 to 21 February at the CTICC, 1 Lower Long Street, and a vernissage announced for 18 February whose admission requires separate confirmation. From Johannesburg, allow about 2 hours flying time, depending on the aircraft, winds and routing. The Geneva office of IBC Aviation coordinates your charter to or from Cape Town and arrival arrangements. Have your Cape Town Art Fair flight assessed against your schedule.
18 or 19 February, according to your admission
The 14th edition has three visitor days, preceded by a Thursday evening vernissage. An arrival planned solely around Friday could miss a Thursday appointment, so confirm the admission you hold before sending us the time of your first commitment.
| Announced day | Local opening hours | What to settle before flying |
| Vernissage, Thursday 18 February 2027 | 18:00 to 21:00 | Your admission to this evening |
| Friday 19 February 2027 | 12:00 to 19:00 | Your ticket and appointments that day |
| Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 February 2027 | 11:00 to 19:00 | Selected viewings and the final appointment |
These times come from the official visitor information. The organiser lists single-day tickets, weekend packages and premium passes, with 2027 ticket sales still described as forthcoming on 23 October 2026. Ticket availability and opening hours should be checked again before confirming your travel.
The VIP programme is invitation-only. A charter booking does not provide admission, and a ticket category alone does not establish access to the vernissage. Our teams fit the flight around the confirmations you receive from the fair.
Two hours from Johannesburg, a quote for your schedule
The Johannesburg-Cape Town sector takes about 2 hours, depending on the aircraft, winds and routing. For another departure city, flying time and any requirement for a fuel stop are checked with the operator. Your first appointment matters as much as distance: a lunch, private viewing or evening departure can change the rotation.
A light jet starts at EUR 4,000 per flight hour, and a large-cabin jet at EUR 6,500 per flight hour. These category indicators are not the total price of a return trip. The charter budget also reflects aircraft positioning, waiting time, local charges and the aircraft actually available. We compare those elements before providing a proposal.
Organising your flight with IBC Aviation
The Geneva office builds the rotation around your admissions and Cape Town appointments. Johannesburg, Lagos, Abidjan, the Gulf or Europe may be your starting point; the assessment follows your actual itinerary. Passenger numbers, baggage and the last commitment of the visit allow us to compare aircraft without assigning a category in advance.
Tell us whether all passengers will leave together. We have the airport handling, permissions applicable to the flight and return arrangements confirmed, then coordinate the requested ground transfer. Each passenger's travel documents are reviewed according to their circumstances. Send our teams the stages of your fair visit for a proposal that matches them.
CPT / FACT, then the CTICC drop-off point
Cape Town International, CPT / FACT, is the airport to assess for your arrival. The airport operator and handling providers have separate responsibilities. Any business aviation terminal opening on request must be confirmed for the planned movement, particularly if you return at the weekend or after an evening engagement.
The visitor address for your driver is 1 Lower Long Street. Taxis and chauffeurs may use the venue's drop-off lanes, but the meeting point should be agreed before arrival. Road transfer times cannot be guaranteed: we allow a margin between leaving the airport and the first viewing.
The cabin and the artworks need separate preparation
For a regional trip, a Phenom 300 may be among the aircraft considered, subject to the itinerary and availability. A Falcon 2000 cabin addresses different space or travel requirements. We check the offered configuration and performance for the mission. The exact model and feasibility of a non-stop flight are confirmed for each origin.
An artwork purchased at the fair does not automatically qualify as cabin baggage. Packed dimensions, insurance, handling and formalities need a separate assessment. If you are considering a purchase or loan, tell us before an aircraft is selected. Our article on transporting art by private jet sets out the points to prepare.
In Acts of Alchemy, before you schedule your viewings
The 2027 curatorial concept, In Acts of Alchemy, considers material transformation and the making of meaning. Announced sections include Main, Lookout and Editions, alongside Tomorrows/Today, SOLO and Generations. Their inclusion does not establish a confirmed timetable of tours or meetings.
Keep separate time for the fair, appointments elsewhere in the city and transfers. A visit may cover one day or several, depending on the admissions obtained and the meetings you want to attend. We compare retaining the aircraft and any repositioning against that calendar.
To align the outward and return flights with your commitments in Cape Town, entrust your fair itinerary to our Geneva office.

Frequently asked questions
When is Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2027?
The fair is announced for 19 to 21 February 2027 at the CTICC, 1 Lower Long Street. Published hours are 12:00 to 19:00 on Friday, then 11:00 to 19:00 on Saturday and Sunday. A vernissage is announced for 18 February, from 18:00 to 21:00, with admission to be confirmed.
Does a single-day ticket include the vernissage?
The information reviewed does not establish that a single-day ticket includes the vernissage. The VIP programme is invitation-only, and a private flight does not provide admission. Have your access rights confirmed by the organiser before arranging the flight around the evening of 18 February.
How much does a private jet for the Cape Town fair cost?
A light jet starts at EUR 4,000 per flight hour, and a large-cabin jet at EUR 6,500 per flight hour. The total quote depends on the itinerary, positioning, waiting time, local charges and aircraft offered. Fair admission and any artwork transport require separate preparation.
How long is the flight from Johannesburg?
Allow about 2 hours between Johannesburg and Cape Town, depending on the aircraft, winds and routing, with additional time for boarding, formalities and the road transfer to the CTICC. Our teams work out the arrival margin from your first confirmed appointment, taking those stages into account.
Which airport should be planned for arrival and departure?
Cape Town International, CPT / FACT, is the airport to assess for your flight. Handling, the terminal used and applicable conditions are confirmed for the mission. Departure after the vernissage or during the weekend requires that check; a provider's hours must not be mistaken for the airport's operating hours.
