Chicago Paris Private Jet, Around 8 to 9 Hours
Chicago-Paris, around 8 to 9 hours and an airport decision
Plan a Chicago-Paris private flight around an indicative 8 to 9 hours, compared with 9 to 10 hours from Paris to Chicago. The Nice office of IBC Aviation assesses Midway, Chicago Executive and O’Hare against the aircraft, addresses and schedule; these planning ranges depend on winds, payload and routing, excluding checks and transfers. A nonstop sector requires an operator’s mission assessment, particularly when departing from a shorter runway. For travel to or from Chicago, have the airports compared for your Chicago-Paris charter.
What budget frames a large cabin Atlantic crossing?
The ultra long range aircraft considered for this route have an indicative hourly rate of €9,000 to €12,000. Charter covers the whole aircraft. Your proposal then sets out the itinerary, services and the selected operator’s terms.
Where the aircraft is positioned in Chicago, any necessary fuel stop and the length of your Paris stay affect the quotation. The U.S. airport can also change departure options with the fuel required. We assess those decisions together, without deriving a charter total from an estimated duration. The hourly references by aircraft category help frame the project before a specific proposal is prepared.
Three airports need three departure assessments
- Chicago Midway (MDW): its longest published physical runway is approximately 1,988 m. We have the operator assess the Atlantic mission, including the return requirements and U.S. entry formalities.
- Chicago Executive (PWK): its published main runway is approximately 1,524 m. A useful location for your address does not establish a departure with transatlantic fuel. Weight, obstacles, weather and runway conditions need calculation.
- Chicago O’Hare (ORD): the airport authority lists a runway of 3,962 m. O’Hare belongs in the comparison when the mission warrants it. Extra runway length does not guarantee a parking position or the shortest drive.
A list of airports cannot settle the decision on its own. A downtown meeting, a visit to another site and presentation equipment may lead to different choices. We relate your addresses to the proposed aircraft’s operating requirements before confirming the terminal.
Build the return programme with IBC Aviation
A useful brief identifies the last commitment in Chicago, the first Paris meeting and the flexibility available on the return. Our Nice office works from those three times. We then ask certified operators for compatible aircraft and schedules, and coordinate handling and transfers at both ends.
Luggage belongs in that first brief: suitcases, demonstration equipment, samples and personal items. We present the actual cabin layout and mission conditions. Send our office your Chicago-Paris programme so the airport options can be compared using the same passenger count and payload throughout.
Customs notice comes before the Paris departure
Chicago Executive publishes core customs hours of 11h00 to 19h00, Monday to Friday, local time. Weekday clearance must be arranged by 17h00 on the previous business day; weekend arrivals by 17h00 on Friday. Out-of-hours service and holidays need specific confirmation.
The Midway CBP fact sheet dated 6 May 2024 instead calls for permission before departure from abroad and at least 24 hours before arrival. It describes service generally available from 8h00 to midnight local time, with plane-side processing at the FBO and additional examination where needed. We have the operator and handler reconfirm the port’s instructions. This notice is neither a guaranteed 24-hour booking time nor a waiver of inspection.
Select the aircraft around its cabin and the return sector
- Falcon 8X: the published cabin is 13 m long, excluding cockpit and baggage, and 1.88 m high. Its quoted 11,945 km range assumes Mach 0.80, eight passengers, three crew and NBAA IFR reserves.
- Gulfstream G650ER: a 1.91 m cabin height and quoted 5.52 m3 baggage compartment help compare space. The offered aircraft’s floor plan is still needed to confirm seating and sleeping positions.
Catalogue range does not guarantee a nonstop Chicago-Paris flight. The operator checks fuel, reserves and departure performance. The return requires its own calculation; it does not automatically repeat the conditions of the first sector. Physical runway lengths never replace that assessment.
Explain who needs to work and who wants to sleep on board. Any advertised internet connection needs confirmation for the actual aircraft, including its usage conditions. Our explanation of Wi-Fi on a private jet helps identify those questions before an overnight flight.
At Le Bourget, protect the margin before 22h15
The Paris-Chicago departure has a separate operating window. Under the general rule, a jet at Le Bourget cannot leave its stand for takeoff between 22h15 and 6h00 local time. This is not a general night landing curfew. We check a compatible departure after your meetings, allowing for aircraft preparation without assuming a regulatory exemption.
An empty leg means assessing the offered sector
An aircraft may need to reposition between the United States and Europe. If that movement matches your dates, we compare the cabin, direction and conditions with your requirements. It does not establish continuous empty-leg availability on Chicago-Paris, or promise a similar option for the return.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Chicago-Paris private jet charter cost?
The ultra long range category has an indicative hourly rate of €9,000 to €12,000. Your quotation covers a specific aircraft and programme: dates, passengers, baggage, airports, any fuel stop and the return. Multiplying that hourly reference by an estimated duration does not establish a route price.
How long is a private flight between Chicago and Paris?
For planning, allow around 8 to 9 hours from Chicago to Paris and 9 to 10 hours in the other direction, excluding transfers and checks. The aircraft, payload, winds and routing can change these durations. Any stop and the time it adds must be included in the proposal.
Can Chicago Executive be used for a flight to Paris?
Chicago Executive can be assessed for your programme, but its approximately 1,524 m main runway does not by itself validate an Atlantic crossing. The operator must confirm performance for the weight, fuel, weather and runway conditions. Midway or O’Hare can be compared depending on that assessment.
